Who we are
This site, readcell.com, is run by Wuhan Morntrip Supply Chain Co., Ltd. (Morntrip), which sells industrial code readers under the ReadCell brand. Our office is at VFC Tower 1, No. 408 Hanyang Avenue, Wuhan, China; our products are made in Suzhou Industrial Park, Jiangsu, China. For anything about your data, email [email protected].
What we collect
When you send an inquiry
The fields you fill in: name, email, and if you add them, company, country, model, quantity, PLC, needs and your message. A photo of a code if you attach one. With each inquiry we also record the page you sent it from, the first page of your visit and the site that linked you here (for example a search engine), your IP address and the time.
When you browse
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and buttons are used, including clicks on the WhatsApp and email links and successful form submissions. Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_* and receives your IP address, browser and device type and approximate location. It runs only on readcell.com.
We also use Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used: clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, replayed as anonymous session recordings and heatmaps. Text typed into forms is masked and not recorded. Clarity sets the cookies _clck and _clsk and receives your IP address, browser and device type and approximate location. It runs only on readcell.com.
The site also keeps a small note in your browser's session storage (rc_visit: your first page and referring site) so it can be sent with an inquiry. It is not a cookie and is deleted when you close the tab.
Cloudflare, which protects and delivers the site, may set a security cookie to tell people from bots. Our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page, time, browser).
When you message us on WhatsApp
The WhatsApp buttons open WhatsApp with a short message filled in, including the page you came from. You can edit it before sending. Messages are handled under WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
How we use it
- To answer your inquiry, send quotes, samples, files and follow-ups you asked for.
- To understand which pages and products interest visitors and improve the site.
- To keep the site secure and stop spam and abuse.
We use inquiry data because you asked us to reply (steps before a possible contract), and analytics and security data because of our legitimate interest in running a useful and safe site. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for automated decisions.
Who processes it for us
- Vultr: hosts our web server, in the United States. Inquiries and attached photos are stored there.
- Cloudflare: delivers and protects the site.
- Brevo (France): sends inquiry emails from the site to our inbox.
- Lark: our email provider; inquiries and replies sit in our mailbox.
- Google: Google Analytics 4.
- Microsoft: Microsoft Clarity.
Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States and China. We share with them only what they need for the service.
How long we keep it
Inquiries, photos and the related emails: up to 3 years after our last contact, then deleted, unless an order or legal duty requires longer. Google Analytics data: 14 months. Clarity recordings: 30 days; Clarity heatmaps and counts: up to 13 months. Server access logs: 14 days.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its use, by emailing [email protected]. We reply within 30 days. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, or use Google's opt-out add-on for Google Analytics. If you are in the EU or UK you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This is a business site. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
