ReadCell VS90 compact code reader
Same small aluminum body as the VS95, with USB and serial instead of Ethernet. 1.3 MP global shutter, 5–30 VDC, 130 mA at 24 V.
The small body, on USB and serial
The VS90 is for stations where the reader connects to a PC or controller over USB or RS232C, and no Ethernet or PLC protocol is needed. It draws 130 mA at 24 V and takes any supply from 5 to 30 VDC.

VS90 questions
VS90 or VS95: which should I order?
Same housing, sensor and depth of field. Choose the VS90 for USB or RS232C to a PC or controller; choose the ReadCell VS95 if you need Ethernet with TCP/IP.
Can it talk to a PLC directly?
Not over an industrial protocol: it has RS232C and USB only. For PROFINET, EtherNet/IP or Modbus TCP choose the ReadCell VS110R, VS210 or VS600E.
How is it powered?
Anything from 5 to 30 VDC, about 130 mA when operating and 11 mA in standby (typical, at 24 V).
